July Poem

Winter snow.

Independence

Webster defines Independence as; Not subject to control by others: Self Governing. The Forth Of July is our nations celebration of it’s independence. The moment when we the people of this great nation became our own governing body. We the people decided to make this country the greatest nation in the world, the standard to which all other nations are held. John Fitzgerald Kennedy said in a speech “Ask Not What Your Country Can Do For You, Ask What You Can Do For Your Country.” Americans listened to those words and the words of other great leaders and we have achieved unparalleled accomplishments.

HAPPY BIRTDAY AMERICA

234 Years old, seems like only yesterday we were crawling around trying to find our way in this big world. Look at us now!

Celebrate safely and responsibly. Fact: The latest report from CPSC indicates that there were reports of seven fireworks-related deaths and an estimated 7,000 hospital emergency room treated injuries in 2008.

Market The Homebuyer Tax Credit For An Extra Year!

Members of the Armed Forces and certain federal employees serving outside the U.S. have an extra year to buy a principal residence in the U.S. and still qualify for the credit. An eligible taxpayer must buy or enter into a binding contract to buy a home by April 30, 2011, and settle on the purchase by June 30, 2011.

By the rude bridge that arched the flood,
Their flag to April’s breeze unfurled,
Here once the embattled farmers stood,
And fired the shot heard round the world,

The foe long since in silence slept,
Alike the Conqueror silent sleeps,
And Time the ruined bridge has swept
Down the dark stream which seaward creeps.

On this green bank, by this soft stream,

We set to-day a votive stone,
That memory may their deed redeem,
When like our sires our sons are gone.

Spirit! who made those freemen dare
To die, or leave their children free,
Bid time and nature gently spare
The shaft we raise to them and Thee.
